An article was published in Newsday on August 6th, 2012 about Literacy on Long Island. An editorial was also published about giving the Gift of Reading. Al Jordan, Literacy Suffolk’s Board President, wrote a letter to the editor of Newsday about the article that was published. If you haven’t already read them, please do and learn about the need across Long Island.

Tutor Training Workshops:
Want to become a volunteer tutor for Literacy Suffolk?
Check out our workshop schedule and help make a difference in adult literacy around Suffolk County. Thank you!
Want to enjoy an afternoon at the theater? Well you can - LS is back at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport. When you purchase a ticket to see one of the following shows, using the code LITS the theater will donate $10 back to us. We chose two “LS days” but if you cannot make those showings, the code is still good for all shows except Friday or Saturday evenings. We hope to see you there! :)
