Who may facilitate a conversation group?

  • Literacy Suffolk tutors with one year continuous tutoring experience who also attend a regional Conversation Group orientation.

Who may participate in a conversation group?

  • A person who is learning to speak English with an Literacy Suffolk tutor.
  • A person who has been tested and is waiting to be matched with an Literacy Suffolk tutor.

Where and when do conversation groups meet?

  • At churches, libraries, or other suitable public locations.
  • Once a week, for two hours.

  • If you’d like to facilitate a group, call your regional coordinator.
  • If you’d like to join a group to improve your English, let your tutor know. Your tutor will let the coordinator at your regional Literacy Suffolk office know.
